Justice Thomas Grants Trump Extension in CNN Libel Case

President Donald Trump got some good news from the U.S. Supreme Court this week. Justice Clarence Thomas has granted Trump an additional extension of time to file a petition for a writ of certiorari in his long-running defamation lawsuit against CNN, moving the deadline from July 15, 2026, to August 14, 2026.
